Personalized Coaching for Voice, Communication, and Mindset

There is no one size fits all approach for sounding feminine, masculine, or androgynous.
Individual coaching goes beyond the specific techniques used for brightening or darkening your sound. In order to embody your voice with confidence, it’s important to be able to safely explore your self-expression through the relationship and boundaries you have with your identity.
This program is best for those seeking to use their voice with meaning and purpose, and who feel ready to explore different expressions of their gender identity to find the truest version of themselves, outside of what societal norms might dictate.

The duration of our work together will vary depending on what your individual goals might be.
I often like to let folks know that the process of affirming one’s voice involves physiological changes through practice, so — just like exercising or learning to play an instrument — arriving at a place where development is more stable and consistent can take around 3 months or so.
-
My mission is to make this service accessible for those who need it, so the frequency for our coaching sessions can adapt to your budget.
However frequently we work together, you can always count on my support outside the classroom in the form of practice exercises, additional resources, and feedback.
Note that more frequent sessions — especially early on in your journey — are recommended as these serve to lay down the foundations which will help you practice on your own and will ensure you build stamina, muscle memory, and mindful awareness. Around a session per week for the first 2 to 3 months is recommended.
You can tell Jordan genuinely enjoys this work and wants to see every client shine in their own unique light. The connections to mind, body, and spirit were helpful not only for the vocal exercises but in greater aspects of life as well.
I find myself using tools Jordan has taught me in everyday life to calm, center, ground, and bring power to myself.

What You’ll Learn
-
When you communicate, your entire body speaks. Whether it's the impact of lacking confidence or the strain of poor posture from hours spent at a computer, these factors can influence how you move through the world. Let me guide you in cultivating mindfulness about your body alignment, empowering you to communicate with unwavering confidence and dynamic presence.
-
When the muscles in your body hold tension, it becomes a barrier to the free flow of sound from within. Allow me to be your guide in unlocking these barriers through tension-relieving stretches and meditative practices. By connecting your mind, body, and breath, you'll harness these powerful tools to unearth your authentic voice, enabling it to resonate effortlessly and express your true self.
-
Breath is the fuel that powers our voices. When we hold our breath or struggle with low volume, it's a clear sign of inefficient breathing. I'll guide you through an array of breathing exercises designed to soothe your nervous system and amplify the strength of your voice
-
Pitch refers to how high or low the sound of your voice is perceived and it’s measured in a unit called Hertz. You will learn different exercises to increase or decrease your pitch without causing vocal tension or strain.
-
Resonance is what makes your voice have its unique sound quality. Depending on the size and shape of your vocal tract (space inside the throat and mouth) the resonance, or “color”, of the sound will be bright or dark. Larger spaces create a darker resonance and smaller spaces create a brighter resonance.
It’s helpful if you think about a violin and a cello. A violin has a smaller space so the sound that it creates is brighter. A cello on the other hand has a bigger space, creating a sound that is perceived as darker.
Depending on your specific goals, I’ll teach you how to manipulate the spaces in your vocal tract to create a brighter sound or darker sound, or a combination of both.
-
Vocal weight is related to how much the vocal fold tissue comes together when the vocal folds make contact.
You’ll learn how to modify the shape of your vocal folds to create buzzier or lighter sounds depending on your unique voice goals.
-
Intonation is the variation of the pitch in a spoken language. It conveys our emotions, helps us differentiate between questions and statements, and can emphasize the importance of a message.
Think about how you say, “Hi, how are you?”. How is your pitch fluctuating? Is the intonation rising, falling, or neutral? Are you blending or pausing between words? What word did you place the most emphasis on? I’ll help you establish intonation patterns that are expressive and represent your personality with authenticity.
-
Voice extends beyond spoken words and encompasses a variety of vocal actions, from crying and laughing to coughing and sneezing. I'm here to help you understand and master these diverse vocal expressions.
-
Nervous system regulation is about learning to control your body's natural reactions, like stress or anxiety. I'll provide you with a range of valuable tools and practices to help you gain an understanding of your mind-body connection. By learning and incorporating these techniques into your daily routine, you'll gain better control over your voice and communicate from a place of authenticity.
-
Mindset coaching focuses on identifying recurring thought patterns, emotional blocks, and core self-beliefs that may be impacting your voice and communication goals.
Learning how to overcome negative self talk and tune into the voice within is what sets this program apart from others.
